This is some words that a lot of us need to live by!

Consider this:
Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how. Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person. Don't follow anyone who's not going anywhere.
With some people you spend an evening: with others you invest it. Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But, if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights.

The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate - for the good and the bad.
Note: Be not mistaken. This is applicable to family as well as friends. Yes...do love, appreciate and be thankful for your family, for they will always be your family no matter what. Just know that they are human first and though they are family to you, they may be a friend to someone else and will fit somewhere in the criteria above.

Dear Mr. President...Part 1

Dear Mr. President,

I have notice you have had a difficult time with reforming health care, might I interject a suggestion? Do it, just do it. Don’t fear the loss of seats in the House or the Senate. Don’t fear that without bi-partisan reform you may get ousted from office in 2012 or worst be called even more heinous names by the detractors.

I say don’t fear those things…fear that this is the only opportunity to ever get health care reform. You have a poker game where many are trying to bluff you. They are very aware that right now 7 of 10 Americans want the Single Payer Option. They know that you are playing with house money. You can’t lose unless you fold. If you place a bill on the floor, anyone that votes against it will not see another term of service. It will send the American people that message…the message that they don’t ever want anyone to have the same advantages that they have…Health Care.

That’s right health care, not universal health care, not single payer option, not a co-op, just health care. Eventually you will need to ask America’s representatives to represent the Americans, not the money they will receive by lies, fear tactics, or worse an imaginary death panel. Don’t ask for this, demand it. Allow America to decide who needs to be dealt with when they vote no.

Everyone who wants this has already seen the writing on the wall…No bill will be good enough for the conservative party…so exclude them and tell everyone why…they will never allow Family values to get in the way of profit. They will never allow the death of innocent Americans to get in the way of the donations to their campaign.

So just go for it, show America that you are…not a leader, not a Christian, not a liberal, not a socialist, not a Nazi…but human. This is a moral issue; show us your moral code. We will show you…our support and appreciation.

Because if you don’t…remember 7 out of 10. Your time as president will be cut by 4 years.

Get out of jail free card...

This is an old joke…

Now the question is does the alcohol make her a victim or does she make the alcohol her “Get out of jail free card”?
You have an abusive relationship, never mind its specifics i.e. sexual, verbal, or even physical.
The issue is the card: “YOU made me do it”!
I made YOU screw everything that smiles at you?
I made YOU demean or belittle me?
I made YOUR fist beat me?
I had nothing to do with you feeding your ego by beating my face, spirit and mind.
IT WAS ALL YOU!
It was you that said you loved me, but showed otherwise.
It was what you wanted to do, hell be honest, you did it for your own selfish gain.
You did it, tried to get away with it, then forgot about it long enough so that you could repeat it.
I always hear about “personal responsibility” but you are not going to be responsible until you are taken to task…only then…that means consequences.
You cover your tracks (hello you know what you are doing is wrong) apologize after the bruises heal, or make sure your explanation is the only “truth” that is told.
So let’s just say it…
SELFISH ASS COWARDS!
We all know what you did is exactly what you wanted to do.
That is evident by your intent and execution. How can we tell…
The results, it is not what you meant to do, it is what you did.
So please, do us all a favor, put the “get out of jail free card” back in the Monopoly game box.

Would he say David Flores can leave the hospital after being struck by a car? Would he wait for two weeks before the back specialist would see him?
I always thought one thing, I could do a lot of things wrong, but many of them wouldn’t break my mother’s heart? Try having to bury a child.

Would he say universal health care is his father’s will?
Would he say any man regardless of his background or experiences deserves medical attention?
Would he say please don’t allow another person to die because it cost too much?
How much is a life worth to you? How much is your child, mother, father, wife, husband worth to you?

Wow people! Jesus cured the sick, brought the dead back to life, he never said…
Sorry Blue Cross Blue Shield won’t cover him. Eventually we are going to have to ask ourselves are we so consumed with our own insular world that we could care less about someone else? The question is when we are the sick person, when we are the “unlucky” will we say…HELP ME JESUS!

Jesus has not returned, but there are doctors that are healers, that can make the sick well. When are we going to love one another as Jesus wanted?

I write this for many people, but mainly for David and his family.
