That’s right…basically what were going to do…we are going to send all of our fiduciary issues to Canada, China, England and we’re going to charge them a dollar a month…they only have to work eight hours a month to fix our problems (isn't that ALL our governement's doing, working eight hours a month and the rest of the time campaigning?)…so if you have an issue that the educational system isn’t good we’re going to contact England…you know the country with the educational system that is in the top ten of the world…then, we’re going to contact Canada and ask them about their poorly, dilapidated universal health care and ask them how to fix ours! Then we’re going to head over to Japan…and ask them “how do we get these dumbass, uneducated idiots to get interested in science and math, so that we can actually create green jobs, electric cars and an infrastructure that will make you go…Oh, THAT’S how it should be done”!

Because as you can presently tell…our government in the past twenty-five years have taken…bribes, lobbyists checks and pay raises…because a loaf of bread in my old neighborhood in 1981 was 3 for $1…yet a loaf of Mother’s Bread today is for $3.29 at WAL-MART! Now that wouldn’t be so bad, but the problem is minimum wage in the 80s was $3.15…it JUST HIT $7.50!!!

Now of course, you would say…”that’s FUCKED UP”…but let’s think about it…that ain’t ALL that went up…gas, cars, homes, apartments, hell, the purchase of decent DOG FOOD cost as much as anything else we could think of!

But don’t worry…our Canadian friends are going to take care of that minimum wage for us…they’re going to make a LIVING WAGE!!! And a MAXIMUM WAGE!!! That’s right, while your boss is bitching about the fact that you’re pulling a great big large sum of $50k (we all know that MOST of us ain’t making that, so good luck if you are)…that greedy three month vacation having a year motherfucker base salary is at least $3.5 million dollars a year! And let’s not talk about his bonuses, his pension and his GOLDEN PARACHUTE that he has to use, because he has not run the company correctly to begin with…and he thinks YOU MAKE TOO MUCH!!!

Tupac Shakur was before anything, an intellect. A man in his younger years desired the spotlight. How a thug came from his life is truly understandable, yet thought-provoking.
How a very tenuous upbringing inspired hate and anger, where his present was only a psychological manifestation of just frustrated based anger and self-loathing.

Here is man who with his desire for the spotlight he was in his younger life was found at high schools that would be considers the city’s version of a “Fame” school. He was well-learned. How else to you explain his selection of books he read: Art of War, Catcher in the Rye, and of course The Prince. The latter title fueled his moniker of Makaveli. He was very interested in the author Machiavelli.


But lets remember here is a man who in his early years were laced with a Black Panther dissolution by the government through drugs and incarceration. That is enough to make any man get angry. He spoke out many times against what he considered inequality of black people. So find the best caricature to use as a platform to express anger…2Pac.

That’s right not Tupac…2Pac. That way he can snap off in his best Black Panther persona. So here you have a man, an angry man, with a strong understanding of what he saw around him. That is enough to make any young man, especially a young black man who can’t have the luxury of “white entitlement” explode! Or did he?

Did he explode or did he implode? The fact that his persona mixed with urban anger and learned background gives credence to his implosion. So let’s look at the complexity of him.

First he constantly said in his lyrics he is not a thug, he paraded around as one especially after he was first shot. Next he always spoke out for what he considered those of us who had god given talent, but were hindered by man given road blocks. He was seeking an understanding of how it could get better for others while always angry at how it could not get better for him.

That is not a rapper/thug, that is a leader without the ability to lead…he knew not where to go. That is not a man who we saw, but a man who wanted the world he envisioned for us to see.

What to Do About the Big Three?

These companies haven't been innovative or competitive in the marketplace in a generation or more. Now General Motors is looking to the federal government to offer a big aid package to keep the company in business and keep its many thousands of employees working. There is little doubt Ford and Chrysler will follow suit.
This poses a conundrum for anyone committed to bringing about a new Clean Energy System like the one I describe in Hot, Flat, and Crowded. Is it a good idea for the government to rescue GM with a financial package like the ones offered to Wall Street earlier this year, or is such a rescue a way of stimulating ignorance and rewarding the worst offenders, the foes of energy innovation?
If Washington does offer a rescue plan, what terms should the government ask for to hold the Big Three accountable in the new era we are in? Can we really expect the automakers to finally try in earnest to produce plug-in hybrids and other vehicles that use fuel in cleaner, more efficient ways? Is there a good way for the government to extend the rescue to the more competitive, innovative automakers—Honda and Toyota—so that they can take roles in leading the auto business into the Energy-Climate Era at last?

It never seems to end, but the truth never begins. I wonder so often how we as a whole have given up the process of independent thoughts or stances. We have talking points or should I just simply say...whatever it takes to get me what I want.

So...there is Crossfire...one of my favorite shows for awhile. Then I started to ask questions to solve what I thought were the problems of today. Then I got angry, if I can do this why cant they. Then anger left, hate became necessary, why haven't they tried to solve anything.

Jon Stewart's appearance
On October 15, 2004, Jon Stewart appeared on the program and, in a pointed discussion with Carlson and Begala, disparaged the format and the politically shallow arguments that it led to. In Stewart's words: "It's not so much that it's bad, as it's hurting America ... Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America." Stewart's main criticism was that the program failed its responsibility to the public discourse and indulged in "partisan hackery". Stewart expressed suprise that Carlson would compare the parody-based Daily Show with the journalistic standards on a professional news channel like CNN, and commented on the absurdity of "looking to Comedy Central for standards of journalistic integrity".
Throughout the interview, Stewart's questions about journalistic integrity were ignored and responded to by Carlson and Begala criticizing The Daily Show rather than addressing the criticisms of their own program. Stewart cuttingly pointed out that "You're on CNN! The show that leads into me is puppets making crank phone calls!" Carlson then referred to Stewart as John Kerry's "butt boy". At one point, Carlson abruptly cut to commercial by turning away from the Daily Show host and towards the camera, stating, "I do think you're more fun on your show, just my opinion." Stewart quickly replied, "You know what's interesting though? You're as big a dick on this show as you are on any show."[1]
Following his appearance, transcripts and live stream footage were released on the Internet and widely watched and discussed. The episode itself had 867,000 viewers (the average number of viewers Crossfire had per episode in the previous month was about 615,000).[2] As of April 12, 2008, the 13 minute 30 second clip had over 3,960,873 views on iFilm, making it the third most popular video of all time on that web site.[3]

As a direct result of Stewart's criticism [1], in January 2005 CNN announced that it would not be renewing Carlson's contract. In a news release containing the announcement, CNN CEO Jonathan Klein indicated that he wanted to change the tone of shows on the network. Shortly thereafter it was announced that it would be canceled as a freestanding series, possibly to become a shorter, "gentler," segment of Inside Politics [2]. Its last episode aired on June 3, 2005 and the Crossfire pundits began appearing on Inside Politics the following Monday before relocating to that show's successor, The Situation Room. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush signed into law on Monday a controversial bill that would stiffen penalties for movie and music piracy at the federal level.
The law creates an intellectual property czar who will report directly to the president on how to better protect copyrights both domestically and internationally. The Justice Department had argued that the creation of this position would undermine its authority.
The law also toughens criminal laws against piracy and counterfeiting, although critics have argued that the measure goes too far and risks punishing people who have not infringed.
The Recording Industry Association of America and Motion Picture Association of America backed the bill, as did the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
"By becoming law, the PRO-IP Act sends the message to IP criminals everywhere that the U.S. will go the extra mile to protect American innovation," said Tom Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Counterfeiting and piracy costs the United States nearly $250 billion annually, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Rick Cotton, general counsel for NBC Universal, said the bill would give movie and music makers more tools to fight what he called a "tidal wave" of counterfeiting and piracy of everything from medical devices to automobile parts to media by organized crime.
"That is at the core of what this discussion is about," he said. "It is not about teenagers."
Cotton said he did not expect an IP czar to be named before Bush's term ended in January.
Richard Esguerra, spokesman for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, said he was relieved to see lawmakers had stripped out a measure to have the Justice Department file civil lawsuits against pirates, which would have made the attorneys "pro bono personal lawyers for the content industry."
But the advocacy group Public Knowledge had argued that the law went too far, especially given that fair use of copyrighted material was already shrinking.
Public Knowledge particularly opposed a measure that allowed for the forfeiture of devices used in piracy.
"Let's suppose that there's one computer in the house, and one person uses it for downloads and one for homework. The whole computer goes," said Public Knowledge spokesman Art Brodsky.
Brodsky argued that, at best, the bill was unnecessary because the recording and movie industry had the right to take accused infringers to court.
"There's already lots and lots of penalties for copyright violations," he said. "They've got all the tools they need."

IN THE END I SHALL BE MY ONLY ENEMY

Imagine for a moment you are an addict, I mean hardcore, do not worry about the drug or activity of choice. Any help you seek will recommend stopping it and replacing it with something healthy.
Now with that in mind there are many addictions we live with day to day, yet consciously go on with them. Lets start with the one I see on the daily…Greed.

When greed entails the covetousness of another person's attributes, the term envy is used. When greed is applied to the subject of the excessive consumption of food or drink the term gluttony is often used, another of the Catholic seven deadly sins. Greed is sometimes represented by the frog.
Buddhists believe greed is based on incorrectly connecting material wealth with happiness. This is caused by a view that exaggerates the positive aspects of an object.
Proponents of ultra-capitalism, including Objectivists, argue that greed should not be considered a negative trait and should instead be embraced, as they claim it is the emotion on which the capitalist economic system is based. Critics have argued this definition confuses greed with self interest, which can be more benign.

I place this one at the highest of them all due to the fact that I am in school for psychology. I ask myself with what is wrong with the world today how can anyone truly be helped? The biggest reason this question was posed is I see how much of ourselves are so heavily guarded. We do not share the only thing we have of any significant value…us.
We live as if we are stockpiling everything we consider to be valuable, all the while knowing the only time we share is to “flex”. I understand that it is in our nature not to be trusting of every Tom, Dick, and Harry, but are we truly placing our allegiance in those who have not the interest of the collective at heart.
Hell, even Ayn Rand whom many intellects admire and study endorses the “individual” over the “collective”. And with that in mind we have become the devolution of man, not the improved, just the new man.
One day when these thoughts rang in my head I came with an answer that I cant seem to let go of…we must work together or perish…yes I said perish! Remove your emotional filters for a moment and ask, are we improving the world we live in? If the answer is no or I’m not certain we are on our way to nowhere. The saying” if you are not getting better you are getting worse” echoes in my mind.
There are too many secrets we keep and far too many “things” we just wont share. For the life of me I don’t know why unless it is greed based…you know.
I wont share my knowledge because someone will do better than me and “I” will be considered a failure.
I will cheat on my spouse because if they know they might leave me or want in on the action.
I wont share my wealth because then how would people know “im” rich.
Hidden agendas permeate through our day to day lives so much that it is not only accepted it is imitated. We embrace the rich only hoping to one day get what they have, as if we can learn from the very people who keep us in our places. We admire the intellects as if they are going to one day on their deathbeds share that knowledge.
I am not having that we need everything now not later. Later has become too late too many times for us to accept that philosophy.
So what can we replace with that dangerous stance…trust.
I truly look forward to your thoughts on this, more so than your opinion. The difference is I don’t want you to tell me if you like it(although it will be appreciated), I would like to know what we can do to unite one another.

Now, with that being said where in the fuck is that man?
I know he or she is at home looking at the state of this country, all races, and all creeds, thinking “WHY WOULD I EVER LEAD YOU FUCKERS”?
Our pride in things that we love has destroyed the very fiber of our world. There has yet to be a detractor come forth and say it is wrong. What is wrong? Everything is wrong. Education…failure, relationships…do you really think Oprah has the answers? Health care…do you even have it? JOBS AND WAGES…HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU BUY A LOAF OF BREAD WHEN YOU MAKE 6.50 AN HR?
Now, with that being said there is a disconnect from the things we love and the things we dislike about it.
I love my child and, they need to act right, I love my neighborhood, and it needs to be rebuilt. I love my mate and they need to prove that love. I love my country and it needs to get it together.
Note, there was not one mention of the word but…you know the word that negates everything you have previously said. Time and time again we have gone with the grain, lived in our comfort zones and not just one time realized that there is entirely too much pain in these directions.
Where is the going in a different direction, because the way we are going is the wrong way?
Where is the you know” I LOVE THIS AND IT CAN BE BETTER, BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE.”
We live in disparagement yet, we just wont say its wrong, here is why, and here is what we can do differently to correct it.

There is a reason I wrote this…a lot of people feel the same way! I think we have lost sight of the purpose of why and how and gotten on the path of whom.
We have become victims of the “cult of personality”. I don’t care who gets me universal health care, a good and accessible education, and living wage, not a minimum wage, world peace through diplomacy, and above all equality! What I do care about is how we do it. Can we effectively create these things where someone does not gain by another group’s loss? Also can we listen to the loud decay of the presents past still in our future and learn from it?
When did abortion, creationism, family values, or anything culturally founded become political? We should be discussing things that can be for the good of all. God, unwanted pregnancy, and who is gay cant be so important that we lose sight of a 700 BILLION bailout that according to our government will save us. Hell if its to save us give us the money, either way its welfare. Abortion is a medical procedure. Until a Doctor can come out and prove that it is murder, move on. God is a faith-based belief, since He is not talking on the corner of Times Square; keep him where He asked to be, in your hearts and minds, not in your political agenda.

Ok…here it is. Success, power and money. That is what happens when the rich assemble in a room. That is what they think about. Race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, and every other useless title that you can come up with happen when poor people assemble in a room. Hell I once saw a hair texture argument; yes I said a hair texture argument!
We have nothing so we argue about nothing; we speak in hidden agendas that are so driven by our ego that we can’t get a damn thing done. I won’t listen to her, she is a white woman, I won’t listen to him, we always have to listen to a white man, that brother doesn’t know what he is talking about he only graduated High school. Why should we listen to her, she an agnostic bi-sexual, and the bitch is black!

If a person is beating the shit out of you does it matter what gender, race, religion or whatever the hell they are. You want them to go to jail!

A QUESTION...

I remember being a small child experiencing my first moment of “permanent awe”. That was the moment I saw something I could never forget. He was about six feet or so, a long beige cashmere coat, a Kangol hat, but I could see that he was bald, walking down Michigan ave. in Chicago with an attaché case. I was AWESTRUCK! That was the man I wanted to be! It took years for me to remember that he walked in to the Wrigley building. I imagined to one day become that man, adopt a couple of kids, get involved in some type of civic-minded profession and see to that my kids would want to emulate the very image that I had been so impressed by…alas…no kids, yet. But I fear that would not be the image that would set them in their path of adulthood…



Reginald Potts briefly dated Nailah Franklin and is now charged with the young Chicago woman's death. She was 28 years old when she was killed in September. Her nude body found in a wooded area. Police say cell phone activity conflicted with the Potts's alibi of the suspect.
Nailah Franklin's family says, while the arrest won't bring her back, it is one more step along the road to recovery. Nailah's is a story that captured the city's attention, and Reginald Potts is no stranger to law enforcement.
Over eight days, her family prayed, a community searched, but police now say Nailah Franklin was already dead. They believe Potts abducted and immediately murdered the pharmaceutical sales representative.
"I know everything done in the dark comes to the light, so I don't worry about that, I know justice will be served," said Ashley Franklin, Nailah's sister.
Police have always viewed Reginald Potts as a suspect. Shortly before she disappeared, Franklin told friends he had made threatening phone calls to her. She was in the process of getting a restraining order against him when she disappeared.
"The detectives never lost sight of the real victim and that's Nailah Franklin. Mr. Potts tried to win sympathy, but investigators never swayed," said Dep. Supt. Hiram Grau, Chicago Police Department.
While Potts was calling the media proclaiming his innocence in September, police were running down his alibi. They brought in the FBI to track Potts' movement via his cell phone.
"We obtained cell phone records from the victim, do a comparison and disproved his alibi. They show that where he said he was based on his phone records, the victim and Potts were in the same geographic area," said Nikki Ruddi, FBI special agent.
Divers found Nailah Franklin's body in a pond near a Calumet City golf course in late September.
Potts has been in and out of trouble with the law. In 2001, he was arrested for threatening a Highland Park police detective and his family but managed to escape from custody at the Dirksen Federal Building. Police recaptured Potts after two weeks on the run. Now, he is once again in police custody this time facing far more serious charges.
"I think for me, not to minimize the efforts, but it doesn't bring my sister back. I'm grateful there's been 24-7 working on this, detectives working every shift, but for me it's bittersweet because it doesn't bring her back," said Lehia Franklin Acox, Nailah's sister.
Nailah Franklin's family says as they prepare to gather for Christmas they will focus on remembering her life and legacy and not dwell on her death.

Now I know that this is old news, the theme is prevalent and far too relevant in our society. I know we all think that the theme is “why do good girls go for bad guys”.
Let me take a different spin…why is it that a brother who does have the things society once hailed as the things you need to have in order to be a good catch has been replaced with “THUG LUV”?

Love Letter

It’s early in the day, a day that regardless of who we are rooting for we will all be interested in… the speech. Not just any speech…the speech. It does not matter how it goes, know this, Hollywood could not write a better screenplay.

A Black man will speak as the first Black presidential candidate. It will have balance in extremes that has no equal…Black majority watching with euphoric and esoteric hope, White majority watching with skeptical and disconnected despondence.

As the chant of “Yes We Can” permeates the very structure of tonight’s venue, allow me a moment…

2010, the troops are out of Iraq, small swells of insurgencies happen, but they are infrequent. Osama Bin Laden has been captured. There is a spirited debate over standardized education, universal healthcare and the implementation of a 5 million green jobs energy bill on the floor of the House and the Senate.

Am I dreaming? Have I stated something utopic? Ideal? Or even unreal? The questions maybe viable or possibly, true…But the truth that can’t be denied… ”Yes We Can” is the dream…”We Can’t Fail” is the reality.

We as a nation are at a crossroad, where the path will either be painfully long or enjoyably prosperous. Without viewing the past, let’s deliberate on the future. Why? Because “We Can’t Fail”. Our dreams hang in the balance, not in the man we will elect president, but in how we carry ourselves after. We must care about everything that we felt were God given, yet has been taken from us by man… Our happiness!
Not an I-phone or a SUV, but our core beliefs. We need to engage in “doing right for the sake of right” as Bishop Desmond Tutu once said. We as a people need a living wage not a minimum wage. We as a people need government regulation of corporal business, not corrupt unions. We as a people need to see acts of benevolence in those we entrust to represent, serve and protect us, not lobbyist owned politicians, golden parachuted CEOs or police that have instilled fear in the innocent. WE need risk takers to do just that, take a risk for us. Have doctors help us, not practice corporate infomercials when writing a prescription, or save us, not practice medical law as they are performing surgery. We need as a people to see teachers…TEACH! Not give enough information that our children, our future can pass a test, but allow a dialogue, show how to interpret information so that the process of informational retention is the goal. We must not fail the people whose lively hood was taken and despair was given in its place. We cannot afford to look at the election process as “winning the Super bowl”. WE must acknowledge the election of whoever is the winner as just the end of pre-season. How we respond can determine whether or not we can appear in the Super Bowl.

We must be diligent in our theories by acting on them, not arguing about them for so long that the answers are no longer relevant to the questions before us…We must find common goals through the nuances of our points, not division through unyielding beliefs. We must start to do things for the common good or we will lose our very soul to cynicism and sarcasm.

So before you emotionally embark on this evening, know that this is pre-season. We all have made the team and a “Super bowl” bid is based on our weakest link. “We Can’t Fail”, because we set expectations that have never been met. Soon we must move forward with standards. Failure is no longer an option.

In the past...I wrote a blog because I was getting a little fed up with the state of religion. Well its back...with a new twist...one at a time.

I DONT HAVE THE ANSWERS BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME

I had to post this…
When I was in the second grade, I was taken out of my class and asked to read in front of my Asst. principal’s office. Needless to say, I was freaking out, scared out of my wits. I kept asking what I had done wrong. Ok I am lying I was trying to figure out why Stacy had told on me about smacking her on her ass…yes, I was mannish as hell.

Well she proceeded to tell me that I am a bright you man, as if to see if I agreed. Hello, I’m in the second grade lady how would I know, I guess I am. Well then off to my principal’s office, she then asked me to read something. Now I’m freaking out again.
After reading she asked me to do some math problems, ok, now I just don’t care so I do them. She looks over them and asks me to change a fraction to a decimal. I do so, she asks me how did I learn this…well I am a child…stating in the most sarcastic tone I could find” channel 11”. God did I think she was dumb, doesn’t everyone watch PBS! So she asks, “What do you think of going to 4th grade next year”? Ok, sure.

Well, fast forward to the last few weeks of school, IOWA TEST SCORES! Mine were off the charts, for the only time ever my step-father even gave me a complement. However backwards it was, it was still a complement. All I thought was this was easy, the test that is.
The next year came and I went to the 3rd grade, everything was alright. Yes I did say the 3rd grade. My 2nd grade teacher felt I was too immature and lacked social skills to handle a leap like that.
Now before I say anything else I had one intellectual growth spurt in my life, 2nd grade was it. I had a grandmother who gave me the World Book Encyclopedia set and a teacher who was my hero! Take that with all that I absorbed from PBS and I was cooking!
My grandmother died when I was in 2nd grade and I hated everything…my abusive step-father that beat me for sport and told me in the real world I could not survive, but my brother who had more street sense than me could. He is two years my junior and for years hated me as much as I hated him. My classmates that seemed so damn childish to me until my grandmother died cause then I didn’t care how I acted. But I LOVED SCHOOL!
I loved my teacher she was like my replacement for my grandmother. To hear she felt that way killed me. I couldn’t understand, if I acted like I was mature kids beat me up my step-father beat me and all the adult reprimanded me. Some would even say I acted to old for my own good. I thought I did everything right, went to church, passed all my test, and blew that damned ITBS out the water by more than five years in all areas.
There have been several blogs I have enjoyed about education, but the blame game is wearing me out.
I know this is anecdotal, but everyone keeps telling me that education starts at home. I must ask when these happen to you at school education ends. I forgot the boy who flashed a gun at me in the seventh grade for getting an answer right that he got wrong I shut the fuck up quick after that. Education starts when the bell rings to start class, it continues when the bell rings again for our future to go home. Parents cant especially in our economic state right now to be the stellar PTA participants that we would like them to be. So don’t ram down the parents throats that it is their fault before we correct the system that they expect to do their jobs. And although I do wholeheartedly agree about increasing the wages, justify it by making them earn the check they have now and not allow an antiquated union system to keep useless check takers such as at least 30% of these sad ass teacher that exist.

I wrote this blog about a month ago because a lady at my job ask me to do something that I can do but have been so afraid to try...
She asked me to help people!
Allow me to expound, I work in a warehouse distribution center. Where when I speak I get either you try to hard to act white or my favorite...this is from the lady...Why are you here, you don't belong.
This lady once told me I have the ability to help people because I'm able to strip sub-text and emotion from any situation. Well a talent I have been aware of for quite sometime...one issue...
When you are so focused on your life you ignore the living.
Its truth telling time...I'm so disappointed in myself! I just a little while ago decided to go back to school to get my degree. The reason why is because I did see that talent and thought immediately that no one will listen to a Nigger from the South side of Chicago without a degree...Hell they probably wont listen to one with a degree.
That is the funny part...that has been MY weakness...my crutch. No one will give your thoughts credence without that paper. I wish that was a concern of my own mental manifestation, but it is not.
Several years ago, I was involved in a conversation with some people. It started light-hearted then became very deep, some of which I didn't understand. So I started by listening, as I gather enough info I responded. Several of them agreed, then without provocation one of them asked me where I graduated from. I was confused so I told them I don't have a degree...IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL!
I guess that stuck with me until a friend told me how a degree wont make me smarter...IT WILL JUST CONFIRM MY INTELLECT! That is why I went back to school just to confirm my talent.
Then I started to use my talent for helping and DAMN IF PEOPLE DONT WONT HELP!
So now I bring to you my superman/super-hero blog.

Bill: As you know, l'm quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating. Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book. Not particularly well-drawn. But the mythology... The mythology is not only great, it's unique. Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero and there's the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn't become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears - the glasses, the business suit - that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He's weak... he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race. Sorta like Beatrix Kiddo and Mrs. Tommy Plimpton.
Now that is the most profound thing I have ever heard of in my life…
Weak , unsure, a coward…
I said yesterday that there are many gifted people in the world, some of them use their gifts for ill gotten gains some even squander there gifts by not using them, or worse not acknowledging them. Some even run from them for fear of success and knowing they must maintain that success.
But know this those with the gifts and use them frown with disgust of those who do not have them. Call it a superiority complex or what ever it is you want the reality is the gifted ones know better and harbor resentment to those who plod through life and the world with reckless and lazy abandon. It is not a preference of those with the gifts for those without them to be that way it is simply put…
“You can educate those of a closed and narrow mind”. How can a doctor heal when the patient gets off on the infection? How can a teacher teach when the student believes “ignorance is bliss”.
If power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, how can that quote be proven when power is only given to the weak and narrow minded?
I look around me and see so many “Super-heroes” and ask why do you not fly?
Then I see the people they can save and the point becomes mute. They see the hopelessness in the eyes of so many and wonder how can I save you from yourself? Why give you the right answer when I know you will choose the wrong?
Those without gifts are not hopeless they are lost, victimized by their own devices…all the while hoping for a “God” or a “Superman” to rescue them.
Then when “God” sends them “Superman” or their “healer” they buck or panic.
Refusing service or saving because it does not fit their agenda…which is hidden.
Or worse because that person or persona doesn’t fit their image of what they envision they question the help or advice, until they choose for themselves…then the cry for help comes through…help me from myself PLEASE!
Someone once told me the best way to win is to stop fighting…war only has losers and casualties.
I wonder how many of us are seeing losers in the mirror when they wake up?
All because they wont just stop fighting…

IS IT REALLY WHAT WE WANT?

Understanding the basics is easy; appreciating the nuances takes years.

Isnt this the final frontier to our intellectual evolution? The movement of appreciating nuances to understanding that all things are not black or white. The issue has been that grey matter or nuances as they maybe called has always had an agenda that worked against the understanding of intellectual or philosophical points.
To make it plain requires a greater effort than that of “scratching the surface”. There has to be a more grander scheme than the monolithic points we have existed in. For abortion or against abortion, where is the against the need for the great amounts of abortions by education. Republican or democrat, where is the home for the guy that believes in a little of both? Who will speak for him? Or even gun-control or second amendment rights, where is the thought of how can a man justify kill a duck with an uzi, or much more sinister, the reason greater guns are in existance has nothing to do with the Bill of Rights but that of making a profit.
Which brings me to the question, where are the moral bill of rights. Ah! Morality, the ultimate nuance. One cant logically say we as a people have progressed beyond the level of humanity that we acted upon 2,000 years ago. There are still needless killings that exist for reasons that have yet to change. There are still oppressive institutions that have yet to allow 98 percent of the world to co-exist without paying a life toll.
But I guess the answer would be the bible, good old word of God inspired by man. Always wondered what type of book that is considered the word of God would contain a holy war that has no end…where is the humanity and morality in that? There has been a right or wrong slant for so long that we don’t know what is or is not right or wrong. The answer doesn’t lie in the middle it lies in the nuance. If one day we stop deciding between left or right on our path to progress and forge a more educated and moralistic road there is a possibilty of hope for us all.

WTF?

Allow me to let out an opinionated, emotional rant. Clearly, based on the problems I have seen in the past couple of weeks, we have a tremendous problem in this country that goes far beyond our scope…RACE AND THE OTHER ISMS!

Let’s play an analogy game, the Democrats want the people to be treated fairly, as long as the constituents suffer though, the money keeps piling in. So suffering shall continue. The Republicans believe we all should be able to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, yet their constituents as a whole lack boots! But the money beat goes on! The independents speak for the rest of us, as if we became a monolithic entity somewhere along the way.

That was an analogy of race and the great fraud that we have become clearly based on those that represent us or make the laws.

So let me cast the ultimate dark cloud…


RACISM, SEXISM, SEXUAL OREINTATION, RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCE, AND A LEGION OF LABELS THAT WE HAVE HELD SO VERY NEAR TO OUR WEAK PSYCHE WILL NEVER GO AWAY!

Oppression is as universal here on our planet as oxygen. We will never escape it. It is the fiber of our world now. You will not see utopia in your lifetime or in your great-great-great grandchildren’s lifetime. We have fed this snake for so long it has poisoned us all.

Reasons are many but let me just point to those that have relevancy to me. Hey! I am the writer.
Whites have far too much privilege to ever let it go. That is right black people you may not be a slave legally but systemically we are called NIGGER everyday. They know and they don’t care.
Flipside to that, that very privilege is poisoning them as well. Don’t believe me, why do we as blacks laugh when we hear a white person cry about an injustice that they consider a tragedy. Is it because we know their tragedy is our daily experience that we must harden our skin against.
Women, you will always be objectified, by choice or by chance. Bitch and many other words demeaning and belittling you shall be in the male lexicon forever.
Gay people will always be disgusting to the majority, no matter how liberal some people claim to be. Unless its two women, see right back to the objectification I spoke of.
Muslims will always have the terrorist moniker from here on out. Even with that they would rather have that title than that of a nigger. Why else do you think that many times we are allowed out of a hostage situation…pity.
Many people think the Nazis should have finished the Jews off. A little bitter about that Jesus thing.
Arguments are wholly based on emotional stand-offs without any side ever listening. We have become political talking heads with our own arsenal of talking points. So the beginning, middle, and end of a legitimate conversation or debate is replaced with who can be louder than whom.
Powerful people made these labels so that they can have followers, or should I say people that will donate to their pockets, I mean time.
If you believe this stance is nihilistic, good it is. This sucks!
If we can acknowledge the inequities of all and level the playing field by speaking logically, acting responsibly and above all…DO RIGHT FOR THE SAKE OF RIGHT! We have a small chance.
But that means we have a big choice. What is in the best interest of us all? Can we do that?
